NGC 5212 (also PGC 47687) is a magnitude +14.3 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 349 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 45.72 cm (18 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 24th April 1830.
