NGC 4084 (also MCG 4-29-14 and PGC 38272) is a magnitude +14.5 compact galaxy located 311 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen observatory on the 26th April 1865.
