NGC 4010 (also MCG 8-22-49, UGC 6964 and PGC 37697) is a magnitude +12.6 edge-on spiral galaxy located 41 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-Irish astronomer John Louis Emil Dreyer, assistant to Lawrence Parsons, 4th Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 26th April 1830.
