NGC 3522 (also MCG 3-28-60, UGC 6159 and PGC 33615) is a magnitude +13.1 elliptical galaxy located 56 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 26th April 1883.
