NGC 5725 (also IRAS 14384+0224, MCG 0-37-25, UGC 9466 and PGC 52456) is a magnitude +13.7 barred spiral galaxy located 75 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 27th April 1862.
