NGC 5150 (also IRAS 13248-2918, MCG -5-32-23 and PGC 47169) is a magnitude +11.8 spiral galaxy located 178 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 5th May 1834.
