NGC 5158 (also IRAS 13253+1802, MCG 3-34-38, UGC 8459 and PGC 47180) is a magnitude +12.8 face-on spiral galaxy located 304 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 7th May 1826.
