NGC 6441 (also ESO 393-SC34 and GCL 78) is a magnitude +7.2 globular star cluster located 37800 light years away in the constellation Scorpius. NGC 6441 is near G Scorpii (HD 161892).
The cluster was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop using a 22.86 cm (9 inch) f/12 reflecting telescope at Paramatta, New South Wales, on the 13th May 1826.
