NGC 5662 (also Melotte 127, Collinder 284, ESO 175-SC10 and OCL 928) is a magnitude +5.5 open star cluster located 21720 light years away in the constellation Centaurus.
The cluster was discovered by French astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille using a 1.27 cm (0.5 inch), 8x magnification, refractor at the Cape of Good Hope on the 17th May 1751.
