NGC 5232 (also IRAS 13335-0814, MCG -1-35-3 and PGC 47998) is a magnitude +12.4 spiral galaxy located 318 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 30th May 1864.
