NGC 5975 (also IRAS 15377+2137, MCG 4-37-19, UGC 9963 and PGC 55739) is a magnitude +14.2 spiral galaxy located 202 million light-years away in the constellation Serpens.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 19th June 1882.
