NGC 5828 (also NGC 5828B, MCG 8-27-51, UGC 9658 and PGC 53618) is a magnitude +13.6 face-on spiral galaxy located 187 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 24th June 1887.
