NGC 6743 is a magnitude +13.5 asterism located in the constellation Lyra.
The group of stars were discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 6th July 1828.
