NGC 6394 (also IRAS 17296+5940, MCG 10-25-55, UGC 10889 and PGC 60410) is a magnitude +14.5 barred spiral galaxy located 390 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 7th July 1885.
