NGC 6945 (also MCG -1-52-15 and PGC 65132) is a magnitude +13.4 elliptical galaxy located 174 million light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 12th July 1864.
