NGC 6616 (also IRAS 18155+2213, MCG 4-43-22, UGC 11192 and PGC 61693) is a magnitude +13.8 edge-on spiral galaxy located 255 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 14th July 1885.
