NGC 6657 (also IRAS 18312+3401, MCG 6-41-3, UGC 11271 and PGC 62019) is a magnitude +13.5 barred spiral galaxy located 323 million light-years away in the constellation Lyra.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Édouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 16th July 1876.
