NGC 6735 is a magnitude +8.0 open star cluster located in the constellation Aquila. The cluster is near to the star SAO 142915.
The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Slough, England on the 18th July 1827.
