NGC 6830 (also Collinder 406 and OCL 125) is a magnitude +7.9 open star cluster located in the constellation Vulpecula.
The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, England on the 19th July 1784.
