NGC 6772 (also IRAS 19119-0247 and PK 33-6.1) is a magnitude +12.7 planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquila.
The planetary nebula was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Datchet, England on the 21st July 1784.
