NGC 6641 (also IRAS 18268+2252, MCG 4-43-35, UGC 11250 and PGC 61935) is a magnitude +13.4 spiral galaxy located 190 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Truman Henry Safford using a 46.99 cm (18.5 inch) refractor at the Dearborn Observatory on the 9th August 1866. The galaxy was rediscovered by Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan on the 20th August 1873.
