NGC 609 (also Collinder 16 and OCL 325) is a magnitude +11.0 open star cluster located 12,981 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.
The cluster was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 9th August 1863.
