NGC 6769 (also ESO 141-48 and PGC 63042) is a magnitude +11.8 barred spiral galaxy located 190 million light-years away in the constellation Pavo. NGC 6769 with NGC 6770 and NGC 6771 form the NGC 6769 triple Group.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 11th August 1836.
