NGC 6962 (also IRAS 20447+0008, MCG 0-53-3, UGC 11628 and PGC 65375) is a magnitude +12.1 spiral galaxy located 193 million light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire on the 12th August 1785.
