NGC 6944 (also MCG 1-52-17 and PGC 65117) is a magnitude +13.8 elliptical galaxy located 203 million light-years away in the constellation Delphinus.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92-cm (48-inch) reflector in Malta on the 15th August 1863.
