NGC 4205 (also IRAS 12125+6403, MCG 11-15-38, UGC 7258 and PGC 39143) is a magnitude +13.0 edge-on spiral galaxy located 65 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 4th October 1861.
