NGC 1322 (also MCG -1-9-37 and PGC 12761) is a magnitude +13.4 lenticular galaxy located 279 million light years away in the constellation Eridanus.
NGC 7576 was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 5th October 1836.
