NGC 5611 (also MCG 6-32-20, UGC 9227 and PGC 51431) is a magnitude +12.6 lenticular galaxy located 93 million light-years away in the constellation Bootes.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 29th April 1827.
The galaxy hosted Type Ia supernova 2012ei, observed by Yoji Hirose on August 22, 2012.
