NGC 5213 (also IRAS 13321+0423, MCG 1-35-8, UGC 8552 and PGC 47235) is a magnitude +14.0 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 316 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 30th April 1864.
