NGC 6244 (UGC 10568, MCG 10-24-59 and PGC 59009) is a magnitude +13.5 barred spiral galaxy located 201 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 28th June 1886.
