NGC 6238 (UGC 10563, IRAS16467+6213, MCG 10-24-57 and PGC 58980) is a magnitude +13.7 spiral galaxy located 272 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 28th June 1886.
