NGC 307 (UGC 584, MCG +0-3-35 and PGC 3367) is a magnitude +12.8 lenticular galaxy located 160 million light-years in the constellation of Cetus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough on the 6th September 1831.

The galaxy hosted the magnitude 15.5 supernova, 2008ee, discovered on the 16th July 2008, by LOSS.
