NGC 791 (also MCG 1-6-31, UGC 1511 and PGC 7702) is a magnitude +13.3 elliptical galaxy located 369 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 3rd December 1861.
