Jan Erik Mardal found a 0.7-kilo meteorite when he was on grouse hunting in Gloppen in Sogn og Fjordane. Everything indicates that this is a rare iron meteorite.

The Svartekari (H5) meteorite was found in Sogn Og Fjordane, Norway, on the 6th October 2001. 

A total mass of 715 g was recovered.
