NGC 6582 (also MCG 8-33-29 , UGC 11146 and PGC 61510) is an magnitude +13.9 elliptical galaxy located 663 million light-years away the constellation Hercules. 
The galaxy forms a close double with the magnitude +14.4 elliptical galaxy PGC 61513 (also known as MCG 8-33-30 , UGC 11146 and PGC 61513) located 665 million light-years away. 

Both galaxies were discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 24th July 1884.

Right ascension 18h 11m 01.8s, Declination + 49° 54' 42"
