A British tabloid the Sun is to take on the task of running the UK's UFO-report bureau after cash-strapped Ministry of Defence chiefs closed it down last year. The paper says its public-spirited move has been endorsed by Professor Colin Pillinger CBE.

There were dozens of reports of the object as it flew across southern Germany on January 19. It vanished above an area used by US troops on training exercises.
