Europe's new Vega rocket has completed a flawless first flight. Vega, ESA's new launch vehicle, is ready to operate alongside the Ariane 5 and Soyuz launchers after a successful qualification flight this morning from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. Europe's Vega rocket is finally set to make its maiden flight on Monday. As part of the ESA Education programme, seven CubeSats will be flown on the first qualification flight of Europe's new Vega launcher.
