The magnitude 9.7 comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova will pass 1.81° from the magnitude 10.3 galaxy NGC 3640 in the constellation Leo, at 21:00 UT, 17th October, 2011.
The 1600 metre wide comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova will make a close pass (23.4 lunar distances, 0.0601 AU, 8,990,000 km), travelling at 24.63 km/second, to the Earth-Moon system on the 15th August, 2011 @ 07:36 UT ±00:01.
