Renowned scientist and popular TV presenter Lord Robert Winston is to open next month's TechFest event in Aberdeen. He will launch the annual science, technology, engineering and maths festival at the AECC on September 6 with a presentation about his passion for science. TechFest, which is supported by BP and Shell, runs from September 6 to 25 at a number of venues in the city. Bookings are already being taken for the September 6 opening event, which starts at 7pm, through the TechFest Office on 01224 274192. Tickets are priced £5 for adults and £4 for children and concessions.
