The MEPSI Picosatellite that was launched from Space Shuttle Discovery Cargo Bay on the 21st December, 2006, for the Micro-Electromechanical-based Picosat Satellite Inspection Experiment mission, is predicted to re-enter the Earths atmosphere on the 8th March @ 20:01 UTC ± 31 minutes Predicted Decay Location 2.8° N, 148.9° E
On Thursday 18 January, a press conference will take place at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany to give media a chance to meet the ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter, of Germany, after completion of his mission following the landing of Space Shuttle Discovery on 22 December.
Space shuttle Discovery and its seven-member crew have landed safely at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Shuttle managers decided conditions in Florida were good enough to bring the shuttle home at 1732 (2232 GMT), after days of uncertainty about the weather.
