The tomb robbers have led archaeologists to the graves of three royal dentists hidden in the desert sands for thousands of years in the shadow of Egypt's most ancient pyramid.
The mud-brick and limestone tombs date back more than 4,000 years to the 5th Dynasty were meant to house a chief dentist, Iy Mry, and two others, Kem Msw and Sekhem Ka, who treated the pharaohs and their families.
The tombs are located near the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, but did not contain any mummies.
The tomb robbers first discovered the site two months ago, and began their own dig.
