A magnitude 15.5  supernova, 2008ee  was discovered on the 16th July 2008, by LOSS, in the E/S0 galaxy NGC 307 in the constellation Cetus.



The supernova is located 6"east and 3" north from the centre of the galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown
