The Tondoon Botanic Gardens has had a lot of visitors over the years, but none so strange as a visitor from outer space. The gardens this year is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a number of activities and is highlighting the fact that the gardens site once played host to a rare iron meteorite, the sixth largest found in Australia. Gardens curator, Brent Braddick, said the meteorite, the largest portion of which is now in the Chicago museum; has given Gladstone an international fame.
