Cardiff researchers are helping to design a revolutionary Einstein Telescope that aims to see right back in time as far back as the Big Bang. They believe the telescope would make it possible to measure distance and time between cosmic forces such as black holes, far more accurately than ever before. The team from Cardiff University have been given a share of 3m (£2.3m) through a European Commission programme for studies for the Einstein Telescope (ET).
