Confirmed: Magnitude 19 supernova, 2009 et, was discovered by the Lick Observatory Supernova Search Found in the galaxy IC 3704. The supernova is located 11".2 east and 13".0 north from the center of the galaxy. As yet the type is unknown. Position(2000): RA = 12h43m46s.45, Dec = +10°46'23".8 CBET 1813 (Subscription)
A possible magnitude 19.3 supernova has been discovered on the 20th May, 2009, in the edge on spiral galaxy IC3704 in the constellation Virgo. The supernova is located 11 East and 13 North from the center of the galaxy.
