The Montauk Observatory, a non-profit organisation that plans to build a research-grade observatory at the site of Third House in Montauk, will begin its summer series of events this weekend. The series kicks off with a star party at Theodore Roosevelt County Park on Saturday, June 6, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Astronomer Tom Madigan will lead participants on a tour of the night sky.
