Daniel said he was standing in the driveway of a home in south Kitchener showing some friends the moon and Jupiter through his telescope. Astronomers say a bright light in the sky Friday just after 9 p.m. was likely a meteor streaking for just a few flashy seconds through the clear autumn darkness. Raymond Chou, president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada -- Toronto Centre, said reports of sightings have come in from as far west as London, Ont., as far east as Durham Region, maybe even Ottawa, and as far north as Coldwater.
