Numerous sightings of the northern Californian fireball were at ~06:13 PDT (13:10 UT) 15th March.

There are no local news reports collaborating the sighting.

From other reports, daylight meteor was observed near Yuba City; and 500 mile ground track is possible for a shallow or grazing  meteor to make.
The video (which may be of a meteor trail, or not) may be of the same event.

(But personally, i think the two events are not connected)

In the video he starts of by saying he's on a golf course in Mission Viejo which is in southern CA. So I'm not sure how that led to speculation that it landed/exploded 500 miles to the north in Yuba City. Can you elaborate?

At 5:13 PDT, 15th March, 2010, a bright fireball broke-up west of Yuba City, California.



Ed ~ video is unconfirmed and may, or may not, show a vapour trail.
