A magnitude 15.4 supernova, 2010fz, was discovered by B. Monard on the 9th July, 2010, in the spiral galaxy NGC 2967, in the constellation Sextans.
The supernova is located 22" east and 21" south from the center of the Galaxy.
As yet the type is unknown.

Position (2000): RA = 09 42 04.77, Dec = +00°19'51".0
