The Grosnaja (CV3 chondrite) meteorite fell in Chechenskaya Respublika, Russia, on the 28th June, 1861. A total mass of 3.5 kg was recovered.

A shower of stones fell after sonic booms at 7:00 P.M. in Grosnaja, Mekensk, USSR. Only one stone of about 3.5 kg was recovered, the remainder falling into the river Terek. It has been shocked to stage S3. Read more
